Bangladesh is Home to a Nobel Peace Prize Laureate for Microcredit.

Muhammad Yunus founded Grameen Bank in 1983, pioneering the concept of microcredit and microfinance to alleviate poverty by providing small loans to the poor, especially women, without collateral. He received the Nobel Prize in 2006.
