Ciudad Perdida, or Teyuna, an ancient city built by the Tairona people, was founded around 800 AD, roughly 650 years before Machu Picchu. Rediscovered in 1972, this archaeological marvel is nestled deep in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta mountains.
