Berries

This small, dark purple fruit, harvested from açaí palm trees, has been a staple in the diet of indigenous Amazonian communities for centuries. Its recent surge in popularity worldwide is due to its high antioxidant content and versatile use in bowls and smoothies.

A botanical berry is a fleshy fruit produced from a single ovary containing one or more seeds. Bananas fit this definition, but strawberries are "aggregate fruits," developing from multiple ovaries of a single flower, making them technically not berries.
