Old Havana Has Been a UNESCO World Heritage Site Since 1982

He wrote at his home Finca Vigía near Havana from 1939 until 1960.

He reached the island in October of that year on his first voyage.

At around 5 to 6 centimeters long, it is the smallest bird in the world.

It stretches roughly 1,250 kilometers from east to west, and its main island is surrounded by more than 4,000 smaller cays and islets.
