Copenhague Compte Plus de Vélos Que d'Habitants

The small bronze sculpture was inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale and has become the city's most recognizable landmark.

Opened in 2000, the combined bridge and tunnel is about 16 kilometers long and carries both cars and trains between Copenhagen and Malmö.

The concept covers candlelight, warm drinks and time with friends, and has become a symbol of Danish everyday life.

Both territories run most of their own affairs, though Denmark handles areas such as defense and foreign policy.
