Yerevan Is One of the World's Oldest Continuously Inhabited Cities

Made from apricot wood, the duduk has a soft, mournful tone. UNESCO recognized it and its music as intangible cultural heritage.

The mountain dominates the skyline of Yerevan and appears on Armenia's coat of arms, although it sits just across the modern border.

UNESCO recognized the making of lavash in 2014. The thin bread is traditionally baked on the wall of a clay oven called a tonir.
